2021 Delray Beach Pickleball Open to Benefit Non-Profit Thank You First Responder

APP Tour event set for Delray Beach Tennis Center March 18 – 21

DELRAY BEACH, FL (February 4, 2021) – The 2021 Delray Beach Pickleball Open, a $60,000 APP Tour Professional and amateur event, taking place March 18 – 21, 2021, at the Delray Beach’s famed tennis and pickleball center, has announced south Florida’s non-profit, Thank You First Responder (TYFRO), as the event’s official benefiting charity.

“We’re delighted to support the TYFRO non-profit as our recognized charity for the 2021 Delray Open Pickleball Open” said event co-tournament chairman, Carl Foster. “We have seen America’s fastest growing sport include our first responders staying fit on the courts. This is our way for pickleball with a purpose to give back to our police, fire rescue, medical and military veterans that are all our true heroes.”

The Thank You First Responder organization is honored to partner with this exciting Pickleball event in one of America’s leading venues,” said Co-Founder Stanton Smith. “Front line heroes everywhere deserve our thanks and support and this event provides an exciting opportunity to unite the respective south Florida communities to express our ultimate gratitude.”

Thursday, March 18th
⇨ 8am to 8pm: Pro Singles and Amateur competition

Friday, March 19th
⇨ 8am to 6pm: Amateur Age Division Gender Doubles
⇨ 6pm to 7pm: TYFRO VIP Celebrity/Player Fundraising Reception with Silent Auction and Pro Player Meet and Greet
⇨ 7pm to 9pm: TYFRO Celebrity Pro-Am Fundraiser Engage Pro-Celebrity Exhibition/Round Robin at the Delray Beach Tennis Stadium

 A Pro-Celebrity exhibition including local police, firefighters, military veterans and front-line workers will be teamed up with Pro Pickleball participants like DBPO Hosts: Senior Pro Gold Medalist, Steve Kennedy, National Champions and Delray Beach residents, Leigh and Anna Leigh Waters along with local sports, media and entertainment celebrities for a fun, round robin Pro-Am.

Saturday, March 20th
⇨ 8am to 7pm: Pro and Amateur Ladies and Men’s Doubles
⇨  7pm: CBS Sports Ladies Doubles Finals Stadium

Sunday, March 21st
⇨ 8am to 8pm: Pro and Amateur Mixed
