The 2nd Annual First Responder Appreciation Event

– Hosted by Broward Commissioner Chip LaMarca, November 13th

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. — NOVEMBER 8, 2017 – Thank You First Responder, Inc. (TYFRO) – the growing grassroots non-profit effort to honor & create “A Culture of Thank You” to all of our Nation’s First Responders who put their lives on the line for us – along with Broward County Commissioner Chip LaMarca are inviting the public to our 2nd Annual First Responder Appreciation Event on November 13, 2017 beginning at 5 PM at Bokampers in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The initial 500 First Responders will receive two complimentary beverages at the 5 – 8 PM Pre-Game Tailgate Happy Hour.  All others paying $5 to the charity for a wristband will receive two beverages and participate in personally greeting and thanking local First Responders. There is No Cover Charge to the public.

Broward Commissioner Chip LaMarca remarked “TYFRO’s goal with this year’s First Responder Appreciation Event is to continue to raise awareness of the importance of Thanking First Responders, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice on 911 and everyday, and donating a portion of the event proceeds to the Ft. Lauderdale Firefighter Sauvens “Vince” Castelly Fund.” Additionally, TYFRO is working to raise awareness for a “Culture of Thank You” and provide resources for training First Responders in Mental Health First Aid.

LaMarca continued, “we were originally scheduled to honor 911 Heroes on September 11th at Bokampers, but were forced to re-schedule, last minute, due to Hurricane Irma. Now we’ve re-scheduled this Appreciation Event to November 13th – Miami Dolphins Monday Night Football at legendary Bokampers. The perfect opportunity to say Thank You to First Responders who saved lives and “calmed the storm” as we witnessed local heroes in action in Broward County and across Florida dealing with Irma’s devastating impact.” Since that time, America has needed First Responders more than ever, as unforeseen events continue to unfold each day.
