Thank You First Responder Appoints Native American Veteran Tim Goulet to Board of Directors

INDIO, CA – February 27, 2025 — Thank You First Responder Organization (TYFRO) has appointed Native American Veteran Tim Goulet, Executive Director of Economic Development for the 29 Palms Band of Mission Indians, to its Board of Directors. Tim, a respected leader in the veteran community, brings his extensive expertise in advocacy, business, and leadership to TYFRO, furthering its mission to honor First Responders and fostering a new initiative to celebrate the relationship between First Responders and Veterans.

Stanton Smith, TYFRO Co-founder and Managing Director, welcomed Tim to the Board, stating, “Tim Goulet’s lifelong dedication to First Responders, Service Disabled Veterans, and Native American communities aligns perfectly with TYFRO’s mission. His leadership will strengthen our initiatives, including programs that enhance the bond between First Responders and Veterans, while also expanding access to leadership tools and mental health resources.”

A descendant of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, Tim is widely recognized for his commitment to uplifting veterans and Tribal communities. His appointment comes as TYFRO focuses on a new initiative aimed at strengthening and celebrating the powerful bond between First Responders and Veterans — a relationship rooted in shared values of service, sacrifice, and dedication to community protection. Tim’s deep connections to both groups make him uniquely suited to lead this initiative.

Tim expressed his enthusiasm for joining TYFRO and the new initiative, stating, “First Responders and Veterans share a profound connection — they both serve selflessly, often enduring immense challenges to protect and enhance our way of life. I’m honored to help TYFRO celebrate this relationship and create programs that foster understanding, collaboration, and support between these two remarkable groups.”

Tim’s distinguished career started over 41 years ago in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Helicopter Airframe/Hydraulic specialist. Following his service, he transitioned to leadership roles in the aviation industry, influencing groundbreaking projects such as developing the MD-11 airframe at McDonnell Douglas Flight Test. His entrepreneurial vision led him to found Global Aviation Partners and Global Aviation Services Group, DBA Native American Veteran Services, where his leadership fosters opportunities in  business for Native American Veterans and Tribes.

Tim contributes to various leadership roles beyond TYFRO, including as Vice President of the Southern California Business Aviation Association and a board member of the Palm Springs Aircraft Museum. In 2025, Tim was elected to serve as the Chairman of the Native American Aviation Association. He is also a member (appointed by the Governor) to the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Inland Empire District Export Council. Outside of his professional endeavors, Tim values his time spent with his wife, Tobbi, their two daughters, and three pets.

Tim’s appointment marks a significant milestone for TYFRO, setting the stage for innovative programs that honor both First Responders and Veterans.
