Lexington, Kentucky, February 6, 2017 – Thank You First Responder (TYFRO) announced today the launch of the Kentucky chapter that will be headquartered in Lexington and work with volunteers to reach every section of the state. The national organization, founded in Florida in 2105 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose purpose is to raise awareness, support, celebrate, honor and say Thank You to our nation’s heroes.

“We’re thrilled to have Dr. Steven Smith of Lexington and Ralph McCracken, a State Trustee for the Kentucky Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #83, the fourth largest lodge in the state, step forward and take the reigns of leadership for this most important cause,” said TYFRO Co-Founder Matt Jackson, the singer – songwriter who wrote the Thank You First Responder National Anthem for the organization.

“It is important to remember all the good our nation’s first responders do every day and support them in every way possible. They truly are the line between a civilized society and chaos,” stated, Andrew Collier, Machinist at Hendrick MotorSports and brother of slain MIT police officer Sean Collier who gave his life protecting his community during the Boston marathon bombing tragedy.
