Thank You First Responder Gathers Fort Lauderdale Community for Celebration of Life Event at Riverwalk 911 Monument

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, September 6, 2024 – Thank You First Responder (TYFRO), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring and supporting First Responders, invites the Fort Lauderdale community to join in a momentous occasion of the 9/11 Memorial Celebration of Life Event, on Wednesday, September 11th, 2024 from 6:30PM to 8:00PM. The event will take place at the Riverwalk 911 Monument, serving as a heartfelt commemoration of the heroes and lives affected by the September 11 attacks.

Stanton Smith, Co-Founder and Managing Director of TYFRO, shared his sentiments, “This event is not just a gathering, but a symbol of our collective gratitude and resilience. It is our honor to pay tribute to those who selflessly served and sacrificed, ensuring their legacy of courage and unity continues to inspire future generations.”

State Representative Chip LaMarca added, “As we come together to remember and honor the heroes of 9/11, we reaffirm our community’s unwavering commitment to valor and compassion. This gathering is a testament to the enduring spirit of our nation and the power of remembrance.”

Stefanie Silk with Ember Service Dog - FLL Fire & EMS ImageThe evening will feature a moving program, including heartfelt contributions from Chaplain Ron Perkins, Thank You First Responder Co-Founder and Managing Director, Stanton Smith, retired NYPD officer and TV host John Cardillo, and retired Navy SEAL Team 6 member Sean Rosario. Additionally, Stefanie Silk from Fort Lauderdale Fire & EMS will be present with “Ember,” an empathy service dog, along with special guests.

Attendees will enjoy refreshments provided by Hemingway’s Las Olas, complimentary for First Responders, reflecting the community’s appreciation for their service. Following the ceremony, an Official Appreciation Party will be held at Tin Roof, located at 219 S Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301-1831. The party will feature live music by Matt Jackson and Marco Griesi, along with exclusive discounts on food and drinks for first responders, celebrating their dedication with gratitude and joy.
